Services for Berniece Koerner were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4) at the First Baptist Church in Pocasset Revs. David Treadaway and Chuck Utsler officiated. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home, Minco.
Berniece was born July 19, 1933 at Cogar. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocasset. She volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Grady Memorial Hospital and worked in the nursery at the church.
On July 19, 1951 she married Marvin Koerner in Pocasset. Marvin preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jacquelyn Rose Brown; sons, Marvin Joe and Gerald Don Koerner; sister, Maxine Hoffman and brothers, Buford and John McDaniel.
She is survived by daughter Kelsey Treadaway and husband, David, of Pocasset; son-in-law, Gerald Mac Brown; brother, Hugh McDaniel and wife, Bernice, of Scott City, Kan.; sisters, Rose Moss and Edith Verser and husband, Jerry, all of Chickasha; grandchildren, Jeromy Brown and wife, Kelli, of Pocasset, Amanda Guthrie and husband, David, of Pocasset; Ryan Brown and wife, Becky, of Kinta; Jessi Treadaway of Paradise, Tex. and Maggie Treadaway of Pocasset and 8 great-grandchildren.
