Betty Mullican

Betty Mullican Funeral services for Betty Jo (Zoellner) Mullican, 95, of Mesa, Arizona (formally of Enid, Oklahoma for over 30 years) will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the McRay Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Blankinship officiating. Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery.
Betty was born August 20, 1923 in Mountain View, Oklahoma to John Edward and Blanche (Cartrett) Zoellner. She died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 95. Betty was a baton twirler during her high school years. She worked for the U.S. Civil Service from 1944 to 1946 where she was stationed in Hawaii before attending the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
She married Howard Kenneth Mullican of Chickasha, Oklahoma on May 4, 1951. They were married for 42 years at the time of his death. They had 3 children, Mahota, Mark and Terry. Betty was a homemaker, wife and mother in Enid, Oklahoma and an accomplished bridge Life Master until the passing of her husband in 1993. Betty and Howard loved taking 'Cruises' all over the world in their later years. After her husband's death Betty relocated to Mesa, Arizona to be of assistance in caring for her disabled son and help her daughter in rearing 3 grandchildren. And, of course, the nicer winter weather was very appealing.
Betty is survived by her Daughter's: Mahota Jo Hadley / son-in-law George Hadley of Apache Junction, Arizona and Terry Lee Roblyer / son-in-law Bob Roblyer of Houston, Texas, Grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew and Nicholas Hadley, Taylor and Michelle Roblyer. Great Grandchildren: Ryan, Chase and Vincent Hadley and Gabe Roblyer. The extended family includes lots of nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her son Mark Harris Mullican, parents John Edward and Blanche Zoellner, brother's John Zoellner and Roy Zoellner, sisters Phyllis Styron and Georgia Mae Gish.
Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
