BUSTER EUGENE REEVES, SR.
88, of Bethany, OK, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2017. Born on August 16, 1929 in Oklahoma City to Chapman Miller Reeves and Faye Victory Griffin Reeves, he spent his early years in Chickasha, OK, where he met the love of his life, Margaret Frances Dearmon, who was attending the Oklahoma College for Women in that city. They were married 55 years until her death in 2007.
Buster is survived by his son, B. Eugene Reeves and wife, Jamie Gourley Reeves, of Glendale, CA, daughters, Margaret Reeves Hochla and husband, Victor, of El Reno, OK and Christina Reeves-Shull and husband Robert of Lucas, TX: grandchildren: Mitchell Eugene Reeves, Lauren Reeves, Veronica Hochla Gavula, Ondrej Hochla, Thomas Hochla, Christina Hochla, Frances Shull; 3 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Buster had a lifelong passion for refrigeration, which began when he worked at the Chickasha Ice Plant in the days when some people still had ice delivered for their "ice boxes". He used the principles learned while making ice in designing and testing the "Fashionable Frigette" Auto Air conditioners for Frigiquip International. Buster retired from Magnetic Peripherals where he worked as a mechanical engineer.
Buster was a builder, carpenter, welder, electrician and plumber holding many licenses throughout the years. He possessed professional skills but was most excited when helping family and friends with projects. He enjoyed watching and playing football and was a loyal Oklahoma Sooners fan.
