Clara Mae Austin Gaddis
Funeral service for Clara Mae Austin Gaddis, 96, of Chickasha will be held at10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at College Heights Baptist Church. Ezell Nelson will officiate.
Clara Mae was born the daughter of Charles Rodney Austin and Gussie Mae Brewer Austin on December 20, 1920 in Cisco, Texas. She died on January 19, 2017 in Chickasha.
Clara was a graduate of Oklahoma College for Women. She worked at Jane Brooks School for thirteen years and retired from Dusters and Sprayers as a bookkeeper. Clara was a charter member of College Heights Baptist Church. She loved sewing, crafts, gardening, baking, and going on trips. Clara was a kind hearted person and was always ready to make a meal or send a card.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gussie Austin; brother Marvin Sapp and aunt Bettie Ismirt.
Clara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Robert Null; granddaughter and spouse Natalie and Justin Hearrell; granddaughter and spouse Whitney and Kyle McClure; granddaughter Robyne Null; great-grandson Wyatt Hearrell; great-granddaughters Emma and Kaylee McClure; great-grandson Daxton McClure; great-granddaughter Brenna Null; and great-grandson Keaton Null. Her family was dear to her heart.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
There will be no viewing at the service.
