Frances Anita Hignite, 61 of Duncan Oklahoma, joined the Lord on July 12, 2017.
Anita was born in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Wilbur and Frances Butler Reddick on September 3, 1955. She attended grade school in Alfalfa, Ok. and went on to graduate high school in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. After graduation, she married the love of her life Arvel Hignite on September 14, 1973, and worked for Delta faucet where she retired after 24 years. After retirement Anita enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, quilt making, flea markets with her husband and grandsons. She loved fishing with her husband and grandsons, she was an avid camper, her camping meal specialty "Trash" was a must during the family campouts.
Anita is preceded in death with her parents Frances and Wilbur Reddick, her paternal grandparents Harold and Marie Reddick, maternal grandparents George and Louise Butler, her mother and father inlaw Alex and Ivy Hignite and niece and nephew, James and Kendra Hignite, nephew Eugene Hignite and brother-in-law Paul Hignite. She is survived by her husband Arvel Hignite, son Shawn Hignite and his wife Brenda, three grandsons Shaenyn, Kyle "AJ", and Brailyn Hignite all of Duncan, OK. Three brothers Rodney Reddick of Edmond, Ok, Glen and wife Renea Reddick of Piedmont, OK, Carroll and wife Cindy Reddick of Carnegie, OK., two sisters LaDonna Reddick of Carnegie, OK. and Sheila Evans of Duncan, OK., many nieces and nephews that not only felt she was aunt Nita, she was also a mother and grandmother to them and will cherish her love forever, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
Anita was a caring, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and so much more. She was the rock of our family, and the anchor to our boat, a listening ear and an understanding soul. We will miss her greatly and carry her in our hearts for eternity.

Funeral services will be held July 18, 2017 @ 10:00 a.m. at Square Top Baptist Church in Anadarko, Ok. by Pastor Bryan Doughty. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Cobb, OK. Pallbearers: Family
