IN MEMORY OF
FRANCES LYNETTE HENKLE MORTON
Frances Lynette Henkle Morton, 75, of Reno, Nevada, passed away on November 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1942 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Annette Lynn Henkle Tankersley. Lynette attended Chickasha Junior High School during the 1954-1955 school year as a seventh grader. Her family then moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she attended the public schools and graduated from high school in 1960. While living there, she met the love of her life, Roy E. Morton Jr. They were married on August 11, 1962.
Lynette graduated from Georgian Court College in 1979. She was then employed in New Jersey as a mathematics teacher for 18 years. She helped to open and run a family roller rink, Tuckerton Skate Way, with her husband and children from 1982-1999. She was also instrumental in opening and running her daughter's business, Jennifer's Dancin' Studio next door to the roller rink from 1986-1999.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and James Fahey; son, Roy Morton III; and grandchildren, Patricia Fahey and Roy Morton IV; and brother, Phillip Henkle; and aunt, Mellie Tackett; and cousins, Bryan and Linda Lynn and Family, Marie Lynn and Family, Carolynn and Don Elliott and Family, Glenda and Tom Shearer and Family, Owen Lynn and Family, Virgil and Anita Lynn and Family, Diane and Bob Feicht and Family, Jeri Sue Cooper and Family, Shannon and Peter Butterfield and Family; and extended family and friends.
A service was held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Walton's Funerals in Reno, Nevada.
