Freddie's Story

Freddie D. Wallace passed away Dec. 12, 2017 at his home in Edmond. He was born Dec. 27, 1946 in Sentinel, OK to Arnold Wallace and Doris (Cook) Miller. Fred was pastor for several different churches and worked as a plumbing, heat and air contractor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the Bronze Star. Fred enjoyed working and loved antique shops, playing cards, going to movies, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fred was a member of The Grace Center in Shawnee. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Wallace; and grandson, Benjamin Wallace. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cindy Wallace of the home; sons, Mark Wallace and wife Stacey of Shawnee and Bobby Wallace and wife Ronette of Edmond; grandchildren, Jeremy, Brittnie, Kaleb, Taylor, Abigail, Five and Jessy; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, David Wallace and wife Jan, Jody Miller and wife Kathy, and Bruce Wallace and wife Mary; and other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, Dec. 14 and 8-8pm on Friday, Dec. 15 at Wilson Funeral Home, El Reno. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church of God, El Reno with burial to follow at the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, El Reno.
