George Douglas Kulbeth went to be with his Lord on September 29th ,2017 from his home after a long, hard battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 14th, 1944 in Marlow, Oklahoma. He graduated from Marlow High School where he won the state championship as a running back. After graduation, he worked in the accounting department of Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in OKC. George joined the Oklahoma National Guard at the age of 18 where he served for 27 years achieving Master Sergeant. He met and married Linda Montgomery and had two children, Jeff and Misty. George worked in the oilfields of Oklahoma his entire life starting from rig hand to fisherman to consultant with every level of expertise you could have. In 1984, he met and married Carolyn Jackson Ridge. George then became the father of Rodney and Angela Ridge. They were married for 34 years.
George was preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlotte Kulbeth, two brothers Jimmy Wayne and Jerry James Kulbeth.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn and his four children, and daughter-in-law Cody Ridge, and two sisters, Patsy Fine and Shirley Callaway. George also had seven grandchildren Kylie and Rylan Ridge, Tristan Emerson Ridge and Ava Sloan Ridge, Mackenzie Walker Hackney and Jacob Walker and Brady Kulbeth.
A celebration of his life will be at USAO Alumni chapel in Chickasha, OK on October 7th at 11am. All are welcome to come celebrate his life.
