Jeff Schoolfield age 40, of Newcastle, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov 7, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in OKC. Jeffrey Kane Schoolfield was born on April 26, 1977 in Oklahoma City. He was the 2nd child born to James Edward Schoolfield and Melba Kay (Stucks) Schoolfield. While growing up, Jeff attended grades K-5 at Bridgecreek Schools and 6-12 at Tuttle, graduating with Tuttle High School class of 1995. Shortly after high school, Jeff married Angela Cocannouer, and they were married a number of years. Years later he married Annie Lynch .
One of his first jobs was working for AAR at Will Rogers Airport. Then in 1999, Jeff started working for Southwest Airlines on the ramp. For the past 18 years he has been with Southwest Airlines and loved his SWA family.
Jeff had a charismatic personality, he was fun loving, he had a great sense of humor and he loved helping others. Throughout his life he has enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and swimming. While he was in high school he played basketball and ran track where he was a standout high jumper. He also enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooner, the OKC Thunder and spending time with his dog "Hailey". Growing up, Jeff had attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church and occasionally attended Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Raymond Earl and Gladys Stucks, Grandfather, Arnett Schoolfield, Grandparents, Winnie and Vernon Ellis, Two aunts, Earlene Cofer and husband Richard; Arnetta Prince, Two uncles, Ray Stucks and Rick Schoolfield.
He is survived by: Parents, Jimm and Melba Schoolfield of Bixby, Sister, Jennifer Wegener and husband Russ of Bixby, Two nephews,Landen and Spencer Wegener of Bixby; Grandmother, Lois Schoolfield of Chickasha, A special cousin that was like a brother, and his family, Tyler Stucks and wife Mindi of Newcastle and their children, Melia and Cassidy, Many aunts and uncles including; Larry Schoolfield and wife Cleffie of Duncan, Ronnie Schoolfield of Duncan, Wesley Schoolfield of Chickasha, Ronda Stucks of Bridgecreek, Dale Stucks and wife Cynthia of Anadarko, J. D. Stucks of Lindsay, Jiggs Stucks of Chickasha, Sue Wilmeth and husband Charles of Marlow, Twyla Stucks of Grove; Many other cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the animal shelter of your choice.
