Joe Keeler

Joe Douglas "J.D." Keeler was born on November 6, 1924 to Joseph Melton Keeler and Ida Mae (Payne) Keeler in Payne, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on July 2, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 93.
J.D. has lived in the Lindsay-Bradley area all of his life. He spent his working life as a farmer in the Amber-Bradley area.
In 1945, J.D. married the love of his life Mary Etta (McCord) Keeler in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Together they had two children: Joe and Linda. They had 67 wonderful years together before Mary's passing in 2012.
J.D. has many interest and hobbies he enjoyed. He loved playing dominoes with his family and friends. He enjoyed getting to spend his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. J.D. also enjoyed being able to travel out of town from time to time.
J.D. is survived by his son: Joe Keeler and wife Margaret of Lindsay, Oklahoma; his daughter: Linda (Keeler) Faulkner and husband George of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister: Jean Mann of Lindsay, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Joe David Keeler and wife Diane of Marlow, Oklahoma, Katie Roetker of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Krisi Buss of Marlow, Oklahoma, Kyle Faulkner and wife Belin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and six great grandchildren: Tayler, Jordan, Hannah, Colton, Jenna, and Kya.
J.D. is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Ida Keeler; his wife: Mary Keeler; a brother: Travis Keeler; two sisters: Nadine Drury and Hazel Revell; and a granddaughter: Jennifer Faulkner.
A Graveside Service for J.D. is set to begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Yates officiating.
Services are under the direction of Scott Wilbourn with Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com
