Lawrence Dale Hoover III, R.PhD, 62, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring St. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 in Rose Hill Cemetery, in Chickasha, OK. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Larry was born October 24, 1955 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Vivian and Lawrence Dale Hoover, Jr. He was the dear brother to Burton Hoover and Mary Porter; the beloved father to, Caryn Hoover; and a longtime friend of Bill Wilson.
Larry lived his life as a devout Roman Catholic and had total faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
He attended Saint Joseph's Catholic School in Amarillo both 4th thru 6th grades. Larry then graduated from Alamo Catholic High School in 1974. To further his education, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated Phi Delta Chi with a B.A. of Science in Pharmacology.
Larry worked at Medi-Park Pharmacy, D & S Pharmacy and BSA Pharmacy for several years. He was a passionate bass fisherman and dedicated OU Fan. His love for helping people was endless.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by his daughter; Caryn Hoover of Amarillo, TX; sister, Mary Porter of Coppell, TX; brother, Burton Hoover of Amarillo, TX; and niece, Ellie Porter of Coppell, TX.
