Lloyd's Story

Lloyd "Tom' Lewis passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home in Ninnekah, OK. He was born July 9, 1945 in Enid, OK to Thomas Lloyd Lewis and Jane (Bachelor) Lewis. He married Kay Fowler in Leavenworth, KS on March 10, 1967. They moved to Ninnekah in 1974.
Tom served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked 20 years as an agent and staff manager for American National INS. CO., and retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority after 20 years of service on 10-1-07. He served as an Elder for Parkview Christian Church helping in all aspects of church activities. He enjoyed cooking meals for his church family and helping cook for the church camp. He served as a volunteer for CASA.
He is survived by his wife Kay, son Tom E. Lewis of Ninnekah, daughter Robin Lewis of Chickasha, and son Patrick Gainey of Enid, OK, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, including T. and Taylor Lewis of Ninnekah and Raven Fondy and Rook Lewis of Chickasha. Brother Robert Lewis and his wife Judy of Waxahachie, TX, and His Sister Sandra Lewis Gonzalez and her husband Israel of Adjuntas, P.R. Several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Tom is being remembered by his family and friends at a Celebration of his life to be held Saturday, February 18th, 2017. 2-4 pm at Parkview Christian Church, 2828 S. 9th St, Chickasha, OK.
Tom was a kind and caring person who helped his family and fellow human beings as much as he could. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many.
