Mary Louise Reed, 68, formerly of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Senior Village in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Mary was born March 11, 1948 in Anadarko to Ted B. and Eva Louise (Robertson) Reed. She grew up an oilfield workers daughter, often moving with the rigs until they settled in Fort Cobb and opened the local dry cleaners. She attended and graduated from Fort Cobb High School. Mary later moved to Verden where she raised her two daughters, Carrie and Candra. She attended the OU Nursing School in Norman, Oklahoma and received her Bachelors degree as a Registered Nurse in 1992. She was a very loving mother and a dedicated nurse for 20 plus years, with a passion for painting and a joy for reading. Mary loved people and helping them especially in their time of need. She was loved beyond all reason and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Carrie and husband, Billy Woodard of Chickasha and Candra Blythe of Verden; 2 granddaughters: Paige and Alexandra Blythe; grandson, Zane Blythe; sister-in-law, Goldia Marie Reed; nephew, Harold Reed along with many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Louise Reed; sister, Addie Lee Reed and brother, Freddie C. Reed.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M., Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb. Services are under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
