Services under the direction of Bixby Funeral Service, Bixby, Oklahoma. Rusty passed away Saturday morning, January 27, 2018 at the Grady Memorial Hospital, in Chickasha. He was 58.
Born November 28, 1959, in Chickasha to Buford Dean and Iris June (Davidson) Boswell, Rusty grew up on the family farm and attended Ninnekah School. After graduating with the class of 1978, Rusty then worked in the oil field before marrying the love of his life, Tena Lou Fields, on August 6, 1980. The couple spent the next thirty-seven wonderful years together until Rusty's untimely death.
They lived in San Antonio, Texas, for a time, where they owned and operated a furniture business before returning to Chickasha, in 1991. Once back home, they opened a clothing store and later began making crafts. It was in this endeavor that they enjoyed traveling to craft shows and selling their creations throughout the area. They eventually opened "Maddiebugs", a boutique store, where they enjoyed working together, until his death.
In his spare time, Rusty enjoyed fishing and grilling out, but the thing that brought him the most joy was being with his grandchildren and being involved in their sporting events and activities.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Tena, of the home; one son, Russell Boswell and his wife Lisa of Tuttle; three grandchildren, Maddie Boswell, Kaiden Boswell and Avery Boswell of Tuttle; his mother, Iris Simpson, of Chickasha; his father, Buford Boswell and wife Krin of Rush Springs; one brother, Dusty Boswell and wife Jayne of Edmond; his mother-in-law, Kyu Fields of Ninnekah along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
