Funeral service for Sara Crawford, 70, of Sterling, Oklahoma, was held 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at the Elgin Assembly of God Church with Pastor Larry Thoma, officiated. Burial followed at 2:00 p.m. at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation was held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sara passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in Sterling at the age of 70.
Sara Frances (Campbell) was born February 10, 1947 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Chester and Frances (Cornatzor) Campbell. She attended Brownsville Schools. Sara married James "Buddy" Crawford in June of 1963. The two moved around the United States and out of the country while Buddy was in the military. They moved to Sterling in 1970 and have lived there ever since. She worked for Delta Faucet for over 28 years when she retired in 2007. Sara was a member of the Elgin Assembly of God Church for over 30 years. She taught Sunday School, was the women's leader, and was the church secretary and treasurer for over 25 years. She enjoyed being on her computer, collecting angels, working in her yard, and cooking. Sara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Buddy Crawford, of the home; 1 son, Jim Crawford, of Sterling; 1 daughter, Debbie Ramsey and her husband Keith, of TN; 2 brothers: Gene Campbell and Billy Ray Campbell and his wife Brenda, of TN; 4 grandchildren: Tiffany, Jennifer, Christopher, and Micheal; and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Frances Campbell; 1 sister, Barbara Hoskins; and 1 nephew, Phillip Hoskins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Elgin Assembly of God Church.
