Thelma Mae Jolly
Thelma Mae "Toots" Jolly, 98, passed away July 8, 2017 at Chickasha. What a joy to know she is at home in Heaven! She was born August 12, 1918 to Elmer and Anna Eisenman Johnson at Minco.
She married Travis Jolly on July 30, 1935 in Anadarko. They were married 69 years. Travis preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Patsy Jean Johnson, Maxine McClanahan, Wilma Peery, Elmer Ray Johnson, Jess Johnson and Robert Johnson.
Thelma was a member of Minco First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed being involved in the activities of her children during their school years. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for. She had a fabulous smile and a sweet and gentle spirit. She created a happy home for her family and friends to enjoy through the years. She always greeted friends and family with "Hello, how are you?" She made everyone feel welcome with cookies, candy or a good home cooked meal. She is a hard act to follow, for she loved with all her heart and gave of herself so freely. "For who can find a more virtuous woman - her price, far above rubies." That was our precious mothernever to be forgotten.
Thelma is survived by her son, Jerry Jolly of Chickasha; daughter, Sondra Lindsey and husband, Keith of Minco; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 12 at the Minco First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Scott officiating. The burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Minco. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home , Minco.
