Services for Thurman Lawrence Hayden were held Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 at the 1st Baptist Church, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Brown-Thomas Funeral Home.
Thurman Lawrence Hayden was born July 12, 1950 to Lawrence and Katherine Hayden. He was born and raised in Chickasha, where he attended Lincoln School and Chickasha High School. He accepted Christ at an early age where he attended the Church of the Living God, Chickasha, OK. He resided in several locations. Thurman labored as a truck driver who drove cross-country and was a factory worker at Delta Faucet and Gabriel Ride Control.
Thurman also known as "TL" enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also liked playing baseball, hunting, and playing pool. He also coached his son in Mighty Mite Football and Chickasha Little League baseball. He was an all around person.
In 1978, Thurman united with Janice Hayden and they shared 2 children and 5 grandchildren from this unity.
Thurman departed this life on July 13, 2016. Preceding him in death were his grandparents (paternal) Isabel and Joe Hayden (maternal) Charlie and Mary Jones, and his mother, Katherine Hayden.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Lawrence Hayden, Chickasha, OK; four children, Deborah Lynn (Carlos) Garrick; Deon Lee (Christy) Wallace, both of South Carolina; Shamorya Lashae Hayden and Tarence Lawrence Hayden, both of Chickasha, OK and 15 grandchildren, four sisters: Charlie Fisher, California; Billie (Toney) Rayes, Illinois; Linda Peeples and Deborah Burdex, both of Chickasha, OK and one brother Willie (Rayetta) Proctor, Illinois and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends and a very special friend Ethel Richardson.
