Carolyn Kaye Sink of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 12, 1947 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was raised on a Class A Dairy Farm and ranching operation near Chickasha.
Carolyn attended Friend Schools and Chickasha High School where she graduated from. Her favorite subject was journalism and she was an editor of the School's newspaper.
She later attended Oklahoma City University and worked in the banking business. However, she found her true calling as a customer service representative. She retired in 2006 after 30 years of dedicated public service. Carolyn enjoyed helping other people solve their problems and received many awards and letters of recognition for her service. She also did volunteer work related to her profession.
Carolyn grew up in the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in Chickasha. Her mother Madeline Heatley was a member there for over 50 years. Carolyn was a Christian and believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Carolyn was an avid reader, loved home life, travel and RV'ing, and was an outstanding cook and flower Gardner. She also loved reading, her bible and had read it through many times.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Allen Heatley and her mother Mrs. Madeline Heatley of Chickasha.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, J.D. Sink of the home; two children, Mr. James Sink and Mrs. Kimberly Payne; three step grandchildren, Mr. Harold Sink, Mrs. Christy Bradshaw and Mrs. Julie Pyle. Other survivors include 22 grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for Carolyn at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Bill Merritt Funeral Service Chapel, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008.
Donations in Carolyn's honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
