Earl Clarence Venable
Funeral service for Earl Clarence Venable, age 84 of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 in the Verden First Baptist Church. Rev. Troy Taylor will officiate.
Earl was born the son of William Lee Venable and Myrtle Harrison Venable on October 14, 1932 in Spring Creek, Oklahoma. He died on April 11, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Earl graduated from Verden High School in 1952. He worked on the family farm and married Janet Sue Schenk in 1956. Earl spent a short time in the United States Army then returned to Verden to work on the family farm. He was a farmer/rancher all of his life and also worked at the Bank of Verden for about ten years. Earl attended the Verden United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; six sisters; two brothers.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Carl Lee and Pam Venable of Verden; son and daughter-in-law Rodney and Cindy Venable of Tuttle; grandchildren: Danielle and Brittany Venable, Chris, Tanner and Keifer Venable, Kevin Creekmore, and Kersten Stambaughl; great grandchildren: Braden, McKenna and Trace; other family and friends.
Interment will be in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
