Freddie's Story

A graveside service for Freddie Eddsel Hall Sr., age 88, formerly of Crescent and recently of Norman, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 30th 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha. Viewing is available daily (8am to 8pm) at McRay Funeral Home, Chickasha. In keeping with his wishes, no other services will be held.
Freddie was born on May 18th, 1927 in Apperson, Oklahoma to Lloyd Hall and Juanita Texas Williams Hall. He was the older brother to one sister, Mable Hall Kinsey.
At age 17 Freddie lied about his age to join the Navy and served in the Pacific for the duration of WWII. After the war he met his future wife, Elsie Olive Buchanan, and on April 15th, 1950 the two married at her parents farm outside of Chickasha. Shortly thereafter the Hall's moved to Oklahoma City. In 1967 the Hall's moved to Crescent to raise their three sons. During this time Freddie worked at, and subsequently retired from, Yellow Freight where he worked as a local truck driver so he was home each night. Freddie loved fishing, spending time at the lake, and going to the casino. But mostly he enjoyed his time with friends, family, and his wife, who he loved dearly.
Freddie passed from this world on April 25th. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his sister, Mable Lou Kinsey; sons and daughters-in-law: Freddie Jr. & Jane Hall of Harrah, Randy & Gina Hall of Edmond, and Roger & Deborah Hall of Oklahoma City. He leaves two wonderful grandchildren, Dustin Hall & Alicia Hall, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Interment will be next to his wife in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha. Services under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
