The son of a Methodist minister and a deeply devout minister's wife, George grew up understanding the benefits of faith in God and being multi-talented. After entering military service, George married his sweetheart, Norma Gail McCall, in Thomas, Oklahoma and they had two children and were together for over 56 years.
George loved his family. He loved his brothers and sisters in Christ and his Parkview Christian Church family. He was proud of serving his country for more than 20 years with many awards garnered during his service record, a distinguished career. As well as serving on multiple posts in the United States, he also served overseas in Germany, Vietnam and Korea.
In recent years, he enjoyed being a member of and participating in the Chickasha Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Affairs and the American Legion.
George was skilled in many life and work application but his favorite activities were helping and giving to others. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend.
