Jack Delwin Doby, 86, of Ninnekah, OK passed away October 19, 2016. He was born February 16, 1930 to William and Avis Doby in Spring Creek, Ok. Jack heard his country's call and joined the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged for services rendered to his country. Jack enjoyed being a farmer and working with cattle. He lived in the area and he grew the biggest watermelons and had 2 fruit stands in Chickasha for over 40 years. Jack is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sylvia Doby; 3 step-children, Penny Palmer, James Boyster, Jr. and wife, Tina and Paula Buzbee; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Doby and wife, Yvonne; sister, Shirley Cherry, and Wilda Freeling and husband, Jim; a host of nieces , nephews,cousins, and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Avis Doby; 1st wife, Cynthia; son, Jackie Doby; daughter, Kathy Ann Parrott; and sisters, Wanda Doby and Isabelle Doby.
Graveside services will be held 2pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Spring Creek Cemetary, Gracemont, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of John M Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
