Funeral services for Larry Bell Sr. will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Bro. Dennis King will officiate and burial will follow at the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko.
Larry was born October 30, 1950 in Anadarko to Lonnie and Helen Bell. Mr. Bell passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at his home at the age of 65, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He attended and graduated from Anadarko High School with the class of 1968. Larry married Linda Winkler on November 3, 1968. They were married for 47 wonderful years. After graduation, he obtained his electrical journeyman license and worked as an electrician for 45 1/2 years. Often he would let his trainees get a "mild" shock by not correcting them when wiring up things just so they would learn it was wrong and the importance of doing a job right. He worked at the Georgia Pacific Wall Board Plant by Fletcher. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and computers. He loved to deer hunt and taught his children and grandchildren how to shoot and hunt with safety being the number 1 priority. He even took videos of their target practicing so he could critique it later and help them make improvements. He loved to blow stuff up and enjoyed using tannarite. The bigger the boom, the better it was! Larry was full of life and had lots of friends. You could always find him in a crowd by his contagious laugh. Larry will be greatly missed and loved by so many.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Bell of the home; daughter, Christy Epton and husband, Wes of Anadarko; two sons: Larry Bell Jr of Oklahoma City and Lonnie Bell and wife, Barbara of Cement; grandchildren: Cortney Epton, Tyson Epton and wife, Kirsten, Cydnee Epton, Jaycee Epton, Paige Bell, Jeffery Rivers, Dillan Rivers, and Natalie Bell; great grandchildren: Kenley Epton, and Bethany Daniels; cousin, Lindel Franklin; two special nephews: Michael Bell and Pat Bell; special niece, Teresa Bell; two great nieces, and other relatives and many loving friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leon Bell
