Marilyn June Wilson was born on June 30, 1935 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of David Clinton Reed and Margaret (Skinner) Reed. She died on April 2, 2016 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Marilyn grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools, graduating in 1953. She went on to attend Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. She worked for a short time as a switchboard operator before marrying her first husband, Buddy McCauley, in the late 1950's. Marilyn met James Euliss Wilson at church and they married on November 29, 1963 in Chickasha. They had a son, James Edward Wilson, known as Eddie. Together Marilyn and Jim started a horse trailer parts manufacturing company, and eventually Marilyn was able to stay at home and take care of the family. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Buddy McCauley; her second husband, Jim Wilson; a daughter, Julie Anna Johnson; and two sisters, Betty Jane Davis and Barbara Rose Fleming.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Michelle McCauley, of Chickasha; son, Eddie Wilson, of Chickasha; brother, Charles Clinton Reed; sisters, Wilma Trompler and Melba Heilman; four grandchildren, Richard McCauley, Aleisha McCauley, Rachel Bruce, and Kaleb Wilson; several great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
