Phillip Wayne Hale Sr. was born to Joseph and Vera (Amerson) Hale on January 4, 1937 in Mesa, AZ. He spent 30 years as a cross-country truck driver and served 4 years in the United States Army. He married his wife Sylvia (Cates) Hale of sixty years in Amber, OK in January 15, 1956.
He is proceeded in death by his mother, father and 4 brothers.
Survived by his wife and their seven children, Sons: Joe Hale of Verden, Wayne & wife Karla Hale of Cement, Larry (Moe) and wife Paula Hale of OKC. Daughters: Wanell Harris of Chickasha, Deniece & husband Bill Wahoo Panther of Shawnee, and Lorrie Hale of Cyril, sister Gracie Donohue, brother Hearold & wife Jannett Hale, 4 sisters-in-law Christina & husband Paul Ward, Jan & huband Roy Strickland, Josie Trotter, and Barbara Hale, 1 brother-in-law Lloyd & wife Betty Cates, 1 brother by choice Robert & wife Theda Amerson.
With his wife he raised 3 grandchildren: Keisha Autrey, Stephanie & Stephen Hale. He also raised two great grandchildren: Scarlett Farnum and Noah Sutton.
He has 29 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 7 at 10 a.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha.
