He was a man defined by love— especially for his devoted wife, Marylyn, with whom he shared 61 beautiful years of marriage. Their partnership was the foundation of our family, a true example of enduring love, devotion, and companionship. Together, they built a life rich in memories, laughter, and unwavering support.

A devoted father to his five children, he dedicated himself to his family in every way. He was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a guiding light whose wisdom, warmth, and humor shaped generations. To his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was more than a "Papa"— he was a storyteller, a role-model, and a constant source of comfort and joy.

He graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1956. He found great pride and fulfillment in his work as the business owner of "Delk Sheet Metal" in Duncan, OK. A testament to his strong work ethic and commitment for those he loved.

He was a man of many passions and hobbies. In his free time he found great joy in attending the Marlow Catholic Church, working his farm, tending to his garden, cheering on his favorite sports teams (the Dallas Cowboys, OU Sooners, and OKC Thunder), or spending time in his garage, lovingly restoring classic cars. It reflected so much of who he was: thoughtful, meticulous, and full of appreciation for good craftsmanship.

More than anything, he cherished his family. He was our bright shining light— steady, warm, and constant. His laughter filled rooms, his stories brought us together, and his presence made life brighter for all that were fortunate enough to know him.

His legacy lives on in the family he adored and in the countless memories we will carry with us always. He will be deeply missed and forever loved until we meet again.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Lucy Delk; his siblings: Thomas Burton Delk, Mary Alice Delk, Henry Mac "Mickey" Delk, Joe Delk, and Alma Turner Cauthron.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marylyn Delk; children: Cammy McCoy and husband Michael, Vernon Delk and wife Denise, Rhonda Hennan and husband Brad, Lori Delk, and Cindy Delk. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Brothers: Sammy Delk and wife Amelia, Carl Delk and wife Kim; sisters: Kathy Hale, Mary Danford and husband Steve. And an abundance of nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his hospice nurse, Sherrie Burns, for her compassion, kindness, and care during his final days. Her support meant more than words can express.
