Jean L. (Burns) Keef was born May 21, 1937 in Chickasha, OK to J.W. Burns and Annie Gertrude (Gray) Burns. She passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2025.
She was born and raised in Chickasha with six siblings. She played piano for the church when younger and continued to play her whole life. She met the love of her life, the late Don Keef, and they married on February 23, 1955. They spent 56 years together before he passed away. They had one son, Rickey, born in June 1955. Jean, known as Nana to most, enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her son and later on helping with her three granddaughters. She always enjoyed gardening and took pride in her flowers. She loved taking pictures of everyone! She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband, daughter in law Karla, siblings Ken, June and Sonja.
She is survived by her son Rickey, granddaughters Sarah, Whitney and Chance, Haley and husband Lane, twelve great grandchildren, her brothers Coy, JT and Wesley, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Good Shepherd Hospice for the care given in her last days.
Her wishes were to be cremated and placed with her husband in Blanchard Cemetery.
