Larry  Rainey
Larry Junior Rainey 72, of Lindsay Oklahoma, passed away from this life on January 1st, 2020 at Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born in Chickasha, OK on May 22, 1947 to
O.B. and Lily (Bond) Rainey.
Larry attended Pocasset School where he graduated in 1965 and Magic Valley Christian College in Idaho. He married Cleta Taylor on November 23, 1968 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Larry was an avid truck driver for 45 years, after retiring he went to work for Garvin County until 2018. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, messing with his trucks, camping and spending time with his family. Larry will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, O.B and Lily Rainey and one brother, Leslie Rainey all of Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife Cleta Rainey of the home; son Travis Rainey and wife Cristal; daughter, LaVonnda Emery all of Lindsay; one sister Marilyn Feaver and husband John of Chickasha, OK; brother Ollie Rainey and wife Faryl of Rush Springs, Step-Mother Gail Jodzko, Step-Sister Sabra Martin and husband Jimmy of Chickasha Ok; and also six grandchildren: Dakota and Colton Rainey; Tristan, Tanner, Tyler and Titus Emery; four step grandchildren: Ami Booth and husband Steve; Dakota Jackson and husband Jacob; Briyoure Brown and husband Jon, Forrest Grossnicklaus and wife Ana, Eleven great-grandchildren: Electra, Lucky, Legacy, Kreygan, Jozalyn, Konnor, Cora, Gus, Alexa, Xander and Charley, four nephews: Dylan Rainey and wife Lesley; Cody Rainey and wife Joey, Austin Green and wife Erika and Josh Glass, two nieces Medea White and husband Daniel and Sunny Green; great-niece Logan Rainey and great-nephew Bowen Rainey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Shelton officiating. Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at

So sorry to read about Larry. Glad i was able to see him a few years ago at alumni reunion. He was a great guy.

I remember coming to Larry house one day he was changing semi tires by hand. I was impressed that a man his age could take such a hard task and make it look easy. He was always pleasant to me and smiled when I said hello Larry I will miss seeing him in town greatly . My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
