Larry Alan Roberson, born on March 11th, 1948, to John Richard and Laura Jo Roberson (née Holder), was a resilient soul hailing from Alex, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on March 1, 2024, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Raised under the loving care of his grandmother, Ida Holder, Larry's early years were marked by his passion for sports, excelling in football, track and field.
Post-high school, Larry answered the call of duty and bravely served a tour in Vietnam as an infantryman, earning recognition with a Bronze Star and two Purple Heart medals for his unwavering dedication. Following his military service, Larry returned to his roots in Alex, where he found his place in the oil fields and began building a family.
Known as the life of the party, Larry's infectious spirit touched the lives of many. His unwavering devotion to family and friends was matched only by his fierce loyalty as the most ardent OU fan. Larry leaves behind a legacy of resilience, bravery, and a love for life that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
