Linda Sue Bennett passed away in Ozark, Arkansas, on Friday, July 5, 2024. Linda was born on September 20, 1950, in Fresno, California.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

At age four, Linda and her younger brother Kenneth, whom Linda affectionately nicknamed "Tuffy," entered the loving care of Noel and Marie (Spears) Byrum. A few years later, the Byrum's finalized the adoption of Linda Sue and Kenneth. Sister Connie was later embraced through adoption by the Byrum family.

The Byrum family ran the concession stand at the bowling alley where Linda met Dave, who would become the love of her life. Dave and Linda graduated high school in 1968 and then joined the union of marriage in 1969. The couple were outstanding bowlers who competed in several couples' tournaments.

Linda was a licensed beautician who owned and operated her own salon. Following the start of her family, she sold her salon to focus on raising her children and working on the family farm, in which she played an integral part. She and Dave were very active at Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Linda helped plan and run Vacation Bible School in addition to being an dedicated Falls Creek sponsor. She dedicated much of her life to her children, supporting 4-H and FFA activities, playing, and serving on the Athletics Booster.

Linda has always enjoyed making decorations and was very interested in interior design. Numerous people sought her assistance to decorate their homes. Her knack for decor helped her as she planned banquets for the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association. She also used her talent to help provide and design thoughtful wedding ideas.

Dave built pulling tractors for Linda and himself, which started them in the tractor-pulling world. Dave was an announcer, and she worked behind the scenes in many capacities. They were members of the National Tractor Pulling Association (NTPA) and the Oklahoma Tractor Pulling Association (OKTPA). They traveled all over and became very active in the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Marie Byrum, and her sister, Connie.

Linda is survived by her husband, Dave; her son, Bryan, and partner, Clay Johnson of Texas; her daughter, Shavouna Farmerie, and husband, Chris of Virginia; her grandchildren, Colin Farmerie, Garrett Farmerie and wife Katherine; great-grandson, Ethan Farmerie; brother, Kenneth Byrum, and wife Susan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and family.
