Phyllis Dawn (Roark) Wood, known as Dawn, was born January 15, 1934 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to Martin Luther Roark and Lyde (Davis) Roark. She died Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Calera, Oklahoma.
Dawn grew up and graduated high school in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She graduated from Baptist Nursing School in Memphis, Tennessee and was a registered nurse.

Later after living in Chickasha and being members of the community for many years, Dawn and J.O. moved to Waurika Lake until 2015. They then moved and resided in the Texoma area. They enjoyed traveling, fishing, and running horses. Dawn loved to shop, especially for shoes and purses; she had a matching purse for every outfit.
