Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Rose Elaine (McDaniel) Moss, age 95, formerly of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Oklahoma City. She was born on September 21, 1930, in Minco, Oklahoma, to John Jenkins "John J." McDaniel and Chloie Edith (Weems) McDaniel; her father served as a Baptist preacher for his community, a role that helped shape her early life.
Rose was raised in Minco and graduated from Minco High School. Growing up in a close-knit community influenced her strong values, steady work ethic, and the genuine care she showed to others throughout her life. From an early age, Rose loved music and learned to play the piano, a talent that brought her joy and comfort over the years.
Rose married Jack McComas, and together they raised four children. She spent many years working on the family dairy farm, balancing the responsibilities of farm life while raising her children and tending to her home. These years reflected her quiet strength, determination, and deep devotion to her family.
After Jack's passing, Rose later married Lance Edgar "L.E." Moss. She lived for a time in Tuttle and eventually settled in Chickasha, where she spent the last 15 years of her life before moving to assisted living. She also worked in the parts department of Moss Implement in Minco, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and friendly conversation.
Rose had a generous heart and enjoyed helping others. She volunteered for many years at Grady Memorial Hospital and took pride in being useful and supportive wherever she was needed.
Above all else, Rose's greatest joy was her family. She loved being a mother and grandmother and never missed an opportunity to brag about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Time spent with them—sharing stories, laughter, and everyday moments—meant everything to her. Her family was blessed by her loving presence for 95 years, and she will be deeply missed.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jack McComas and L.E. Moss; and her siblings, Maxine, Bernice, Johnny, Hugh, and Buford.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Fassero and husband Jeff of Scottsdale, Arizona; her sons, Ronnie McComas and wife Lori of Benton, Kansas, Kyle McComas and wife Rhonda of Amber, and Randy McComas and wife Shirley of Chandler; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Edith Verser and husband Jerry of Chickasha; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. An online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
