Chickasha, OK - Funeral service for Shirlene Mae Wigley will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Parkview Christian Church in Chickasha, OK. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Shirlene Mae Wigley passed from this life on May 24, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 91. She was born on February 19, 1935 in Union City, OK to LaRoy Wood and Lula (Talbot) Wood.

Shirlene was the oldest of five children. She grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. She married Duane Wigley and they had four sons: Randy, Marty, Steve and Jeff.

Shirlene was active in the Chickasha community her entire life. She owned the Cotton Patch Quilt Shop. She enjoyed offering catering services and her specialty was wedding cakes, which were very popular. She had a screen printing shop. Shirlene was very active at Parkview Christian Church, especially with the youth. She participated in the Tour of Homes and was a member of JSW, the Junior Social Workers of Chickasha. Shirlene opened her home and became a foster parent to children in need. She also did mission work in Haiti, which led to her hosting foreign exchange students from Haiti in her home. She was even a founding member of the Swinging Chicks Square Dancing Club in 1972, and was active in that club for over 50 years. Shirlene and Duane enjoyed travel and they were the Tailenders of the Winnebago Itasca Travelers.

She married Pietro Cozzitorto in September of 2012. She continued square dancing and traveling. She enjoyed being around people and was an excellent cook. Shirlene won trophies for her quilting. She remained involved in her community throughout her life and continued to contribute and share her positive energy in Chickasha for as long as she was able.

Shirlene is preceded in death by her parents, LaRoy and Lula Wood; her husband, Duane Wigley; her sons, Randy, Marty, Steve, and Jeff; her great-grandchild, Logan; her siblings, Ronald, Betty, and Sharon.

She is survived by her husband, Pietro Cozzitorto; grandchildren: Allison Wigley, Amy McCracken, Jason Wigley, Brittney Hollowell, Tisha Jones; her great-grandchildren: Alden, Hayden, Grady, Kyan, Brynlee, Shylah, Meci, Jayda; sister, Patty Crawford; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and family.
